How we handle your footage and information

The short version

Your editor sees your footage. That is it. We do not share, post, or use your files as an example unless you say so. Guest projects stay with the browser that started them until you create an account.

What we collect

When you start a project we collect a name, email, project title, and the preferences you pick (style, length, captions, brief). If you create an account we also store a password hash and the projects attached to that email. We store the video, audio, and other files you upload so we can edit them.

Where footage lives

In production, uploads and finished edits are stored privately in object storage (Cloudflare R2). They are not on a public website. Downloads use short-lived links generated for you or for studio staff. We use hosting and database providers to run the site (currently Render and Neon). Those companies process data only to provide their service.

Who can see a project

• You, when you are logged in as the project owner, or when you still have the guest session in that browser.
• Footage Studio staff, so we can edit and deliver the video.
• Nobody else. We do not sell footage, and we do not put client work on the showcase without permission.

Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie so you can stay logged in and so guest uploads stay attached to this browser. We do not run advertising pixels or a third-party analytics suite on the marketing pages.

How long we keep things

We keep project files while the project is active and for a reasonable time after delivery so you can download edits. If you want footage or an account deleted, write from the email you used on the project and we will remove what we can from our systems.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. Do not send us footage or an account for someone in that age group.
